Trisha:

I grew up all over the U.S.  It was difficult to be constantly moving around so much as a child, but I truly appreciate it now that I am an adult. It made me strong and change is not scary for me.  I am a mother of two wonderful children and a grandmother to one special little girl, and LOVE my family. I always had paranormal experiences as I was growing up, and they really frightened me.  I didn’t understand them, but eventually accepted the fact things were attracted to me, or my light (or so I have been told).

Day Job: Office Manager

Hobbies: Cooking, Sewing, Reading, Crochet, Meditation

An Interview with Sr. Investigator, Trisha:

1. What  interested you in the paranormal?

I actually have had experiences all my life.  I spent a majority of my teen and adult years trying to live a normal life, or what I thought a normal life was.  I tried not to talk about it to friends.  I only discussed it with my family when I was frightened (which seems to be a lot, now that I am looking back).  I learned the paranormal is normal, and began to accept it as a regular part of my life.

2.  How are you treated in public when people realize that you are a paranormal investigator?

For the most part, people are generally accepting and don’t make a big fuss about it.

3. Have you ever had anybody react to what you do negatively?

I have, and I accept that we each have the right to choose what we believe.  I like the fact, for the most part, we can agree to disagree.

4. What do you do when you aren't investigating?

I work as an office manager full time, which takes up a majority of my week.  On the off time, I try to keep active with my family and my friends, but enjoy just being a home-body sometimes.  I love to crochet, sew, cook and read.  Each of these activities relaxes me.  My favorite time when not investigating is to enjoy spending time with my granddaughter and spoiling her rotten.

5. What investigation sticks out in your mind?

My first investigation is probably my most memorable.  It was in a little community, on an old orchard.  I was so afraid I was going to run out on the clients, but I held it together.  Sometimes we can be stronger for others, than we can be for ourselves.

6. Have you had any unexplained experiences?

Yes, and not all were frightening.

7. What skills do you bring to API?

Well, I believe that I offer many wonderful things to API.  I am a team player and love to help people.  I like stepping up to make suggestions to improve current processes, updating forms and training new investigators.

8. What do you want to get out of your experience with API?

It’s quite amazing the things I have learned from my team members.  Each team member has a skill set that amazes me, and assists in my growth in the team and my ability to help families with their unique and difficult experiences.  I have gotten a more from API than I could have imagined.

9. How does your family feel about your investigations?

I know when I told my daughter, she decided it was more exciting for me to be a paranormal investigator than a boring old office manager.  She tells all her friends that is what I do.  I know my parents are proud of me for doing something I believe in, and my kids find it exciting, what more could I ask?

10. Do you enjoy being an investigator?

I love it!

11. Do you have anything else to add?

Take a chance, trust your heart.  Find a group that matches your interests, whether it’s paranormal or social.  Be active in your community!
