Erin:
Senior Investigator/Sensitive/Northern California Nightwatchers Coordinator - A shy lady with innate curiosity of the unexplained.
I grew up in the northern California foothills of the Sierra-Nevada Mountains. All of my life I have had a huge interest in the paranormal, although until recently nobody in my family has shared. I had experiences on and off through my whole life, some I didn’t realize until later were paranormal. I sensed and saw things I couldn’t explain. I found and joined API. At investigations I am sometimes the Sensitive and sometimes an investigator. I like both roles because they are so different. I love being in API. We look at both the scientific and spiritual. We love to laugh and joke. I think the humor really helps the homeowners who are frightened and are worried about what is happening in their house. I like to see the fear leave their faces as they see us smiling and giggling while we chase ghosts.
Aside from investigator for API, I am a wife and mother. My husband Kris works in the Auto business and I stay at home with our daughter, McKenna. I love being a mommy more than anything. When I'm not hunting ghosts or playing with McKenna Bo Benna I love to
cook, read, travel.
Day Job: Administrative Assistant
Hobbies: Spending time with friends and family
An Interview with Erin:
1. What interested you in the paranormal?
I was born a believer. I can't remember a time I wasn't completely fascinated with all things
Paranormal; especially ghosts. Even as a very young child I had a huge interest.
2. How are you treated in public when people realize that you are a paranormal investigator?
Actually I've had very good experiences. At work I found out a lot of my co-workers were
believers and very interested to hear my experiences. Even skeptics seem to have some sort of
amused curiosity. It seems to me the more people are interested in spirituality the thinner the veil
gets.
3. Have you ever had anybody react to what you do negatively?
Not yet. I have fear that people will react negatively but it has never happened. And if it does
someday; oh well. I know my experiences to be true.
4. What do you do when you aren't investigating?
I have a beautiful new baby girl, McKenna, who is my number one interest and joy. I love to spend
time with family and close friends but most of my time is spent enjoying my daughter.
5. What investigation sticks out in your mind?
The one API did in my old town home. It validated a lot of things I'd been picking up on. It made
me realize I'm a lot more sensitive to the paranormal than I knew.
6. Have you had any unexplained experiences?
I've had several. The creepiest one was hearing a little girl crying inside my bedroom. I hadn't had
my baby yet and it was only me and my boyfriend living in the house. I'd try to find her but no one
visibly was there.
7. What skills do you bring to API?
Well, I've been out on maternity leave for awhile so I haven't brought much lately. I hope and try to
be an active helper in the group in activities and investigations. I like to try new things and roles in
investigations. They let me stay so they must like me but I really learn a lot more from my
teammates. They have great insight and experience to share.
8. What do you want to get out of your experience with API?
I crave new knowledge and experience. I want proof that what I believe I am experiencing to be
real. I want others to see the proof. As someone who lived in a "haunted house"; it's always nice to
bring validation to homeowners that they aren't going crazy.
9. How does your family feel about your investigations?
My mom is becoming increasingly fascinated. She asks me stuff all the time. My sister is also very
interested. For the most part they are supportive.
10. Do you enjoy being an investigator?
So much!!! The investigations are my favorite part. I would like to try coming in as a sensitive
sometime though.
