Reason for Investigation: API was contacted by a group in Wisconsin who originally received this
referral. The family would like to be able to sleep at night and protect their children. They have
experienced strange smells, seen a black mist in the bathroom, the son has been touched, felt cold spots,
and heard screaming at night.
The Investigation: The team arrived at the residence at 6 p.m. This would be the first investigation
that Gary joined us where he would attempt to debunk some of the claims. The team began their
scientific investigation, taking temperature and EMF readings, while another portion of the team
conducted the debunking exercises. Gary took sketches of the home and utilized the preliminary interview
information to document where the claims of activity claimed to occurred, noting objects or things in those
locations that may provide information. Ann took photos during the investigation to document the
investigation process. Once everyone was done with the scientific portion of the investigation, we took
a brief break to discuss our initial findings with one another. Gary continued to document details in the
home in order to identify any logical explanations for the events that were discussed. The team prepared
for the dowsing and EVP sessions next. During the dowsing sessions, the homeowners were allowed to
ask questions in an attempt to better understand why they were experiencing certain events discussed
during the preliminary meeting. Once the team completed the dowsing and EVP sessions, we took
another break. The homeowners requested a blessing, so Dave conducted a Native American blessing
of the home and its occupants. We packed up our equipment and left the residence.
Findings: Temperature readings that were gathered by Amy throughout the residence proved to be
steady at an average of 70 degrees. The highest temperature reading was 77 degrees in the living room.
There was no other information gathered that could explain the significant change in temperature. EMF
readings gathered by Walter were consistent also at an average of 1.5. The highest reading gathered
was found in the master bedroom at 4. This could be due to the electrical plugs that were found in the
room. No other significant information was gathered during that time. During the EVP sessions,
everyone made note of hearing a “cough” in the bathroom when everyone was in the living room.
Although Michelle was not acting as a sensitive, she picked up on an odd-looking boy who looked like a
cartoon character. He comes from the neighborhood and pops in and out. She also picked up on a
person in a car in the garage that appears on occasion. Amy experienced a camera battery that was
originally full die after 5 minutes of use.
