The Investigation:
The team arrived at 5:30pm and were warmly greeted by the publicity staff for the Lodge.  While Dave and
Charlotte conducted interviews, Ann and Casey proceeded in the opposite direction for the initial walk
through as the sensitive.  The other team members paired up and began in main lobby and Brook room
obtaining photography and EMF readings.  After an hour, the team regrouped and Dave laid out the
plan for the evening based on his interviews and knowledge of the lodge.

All team members reported problems with blurred photography in the Brook Room, even on a tripod.
Tammy attempted to photograph out a door next to the Brook Room and obtained nothing but very
bright lights with a maroon hue.  The group would continue attempting to take pictures in that area and see
if the problem persisted.  EVP would be conducted in the log cabin, pool area, and a room on the second
level.  And basic readings would continue throughout the grounds and lodge.  But first, we would eat!

During our delicious meal, we took several photographs.  We noticed the unusual effect lights had in the
background.  On one photograph the lights would streak with all objects in focus. The next picture would
be without any streaking.  While waiting for everybody to finish their meal, I stepped outside to walk and
took more pictures.  These show 2 maroon lights in different areas with an unknown source.

7:30pm – Casey and Ann walked behind the property.  Ann crawled up a bank, through leaves and when
peeking through a hidden door, found a very old footbridge.

8:30pm – Ann was preparing to conduct an EVP session in the log cabin.  In photographs taken there are
maroon lights that appear only on the pictures.  EVP did not reveal anything dramatic, but many interesting
sounds and voices that could not be accounted for.

9:30pm – Filming for California Haunts, Ann conducts an EVP session in the pool area.  A presence of a
young woman who died in the pool as she dove in is very strong.  Casey is taking pictures when the odd light
phenomena occur again.  The Lodge representative confirms that a young woman did parish in that manner.

10:45pm – The team regroups in the second story room to talk and conduct another EVP session.  As
Dave moves his light pointer a blue flash is seen near it and captured in a photo.  Also 2 maroon lights are
seen again on photographs only.

11:03pm - All the power goes out in the entire lodge.  We sat in darkness, pondering the coincidence.
After finishing our EVP session in the silence we wished for, more photographs showed a very bright light
on the ceiling.  In the next picture, Tammy’s face is distorted and bright.  Nobody is pointing a light at her,
nor did she have a flashlight.  She felt a little sick to her stomach though.

Since the power was out and patrons downstairs were leaving, we decided to call it a night too.  But not
before Ann took a few more photographs.  In the same area that we ate dinner the earlier maroon lights
(remember the power is out) are brighter than a light bulb on the dance floor.  Also, where Tammy got the
odd lighting effect, a ghostly object and unexplainable lighting effect occurs.  To top it off a member of
the team is photographed and a hand appears to be reaching through him.  His experience didn’t stop
there.  He was wondering why nothing paranormal seemed to be happening to him.  What he saw and felt
next is too personal to share.  The only thing we will say is that he didn’t just see this young man die, but felt
it - all.

By midnight we were on the road to our hotel in San Jose near the Winchester Mystery House.

Research Highlights:
The photography near the Brook room and Pool table by any member was impossible to explain.  The
unusual lighting effect (with objects in focus, but a blurring of light), was captured by all members of the
team.  EVP was most prevalent in an upstairs room.  Both male and female voices are heard.  EMF readings
showed spikes at the same time as other occurrences.
