Eeek the Kat:  Darren has had an interest in the paranormal since he was young. At
the age of 8 he began having encounters with a dark figure that entered his room
normally while he slept. The figure was tall, wearing a wide brimmed hat, and long coat.
He has continually seen this figure throughout his life.

In 2002 Darren's mother passed after a month stay in the hospital. While she was in the
hospital Darren sat with her every night. About two months after she had passed he
went to sleep as he normally did and dreamed that she was sitting in his computer desk
chair beside his bed talking to him. When he woke in the morning he discovered his chair
beside his bed almost ten feet from where it had been the night before.

After that happened Darren began studying everything he could about the paranormal.
In 2005 he located a local paranormal investigation group and began doing formal
investigations. During the course of his time with them he gained knowledge and
experience as an investigator as well as having a number of unexplained events happen to
them.

He was invited to join the Roswell Georgia Paranormal Investigations group as a
member of the board of directors. Since joining RGPI he has continued to search for
answers through technology.

Elaine:  I'm a native Californian, born and raised in San Francisco. I currently live in
Redwood City with my husband and 2 cats. I manage a global team of IBM/Lotus
System Administration for Logitech in Fremont.

At various times of my life, I've had what seemed to be paranormal experiences. Luckily, I
have an investigative type of personality and I've been able to debunk most of them.
However, there were a few experiences that I couldn't debunk and with those exceptions
in mind, I decided to become more involved in the paranormal field. I began by reading
books on paranormal investigation/ghost hunting, taking courses from Troy Taylor
and finally trying to get first hand experience by attending paranormal investigative
events such as Darkness Radio and Nightwatchers.

The type of group I'm interested in joining is the type that doesn't automatically think
everything is paranormal. That's just not me. I want to join a group that has the same
believe system that I have....look at things objectively and not assume everything is
paranormal.

Lee:  If you’d have asked me about paranormal activity several years ago, I’d have
probably agreed that there may have been something to it and left it at that.  After
experiencing what my wife, several of our friends and I have on our property, I am very clear
that there’s a great deal to it.  We’ve had full body apparitions, we’ve heard and smelled
things and have lots of photos of unexplained lights, orbs and fogs.  I am a believer.

I retired from the CHP about fourteen years ago and am currently selling real estate.
My interests include earning a few dollars with my camcorder, web site construction,
hammer and nail construction, hiking in the beautiful Trinity Alps near our home and
running a really big golf score.

Sheila:  I became interested in the paranormal when my husband, Lee and I purchased
a home in Douglas City, in Trinity County.  The property we purchased has two
homes; the older of the two is used as a guest house.  One night several years ago a
friend who was visiting woke up to see the appertain of a woman standing next to her
bed.  After some investigation it was determined that the appertain was of the woman
who had lived in the house and had died there several years prior.  Since that night other
strange occurrences started happening; that is when we contacted API.   We have since
learned that we have Native American spirits on the property as well as the spirit of a
Viet Nam vet who had stayed in the guest house as a boy.  I am fascinated by what I
have learned and plan to study the paranormal and hope to participate in investigations
with API.

When I am not studying the paranormal I work full time for the California Highway
Patrol in Weaverville as the office manager.  I am also the president of our local
Soroptimist club.  I love to scrap book, create beaded jewelry and take beading classes,
hike in our beautiful Trinity Alps Wilderness, horseback riding, and just hanging out with
my friends visiting and relaxing.

PJ:  Paula has had many encounters with the paranormal throughout her life that it has
become the normal for her.  She believes that there are no such things as coincidences or
obstacles in life – they are opportunities provided by the Universe for growth and
understanding and our Divine Entourage, (as she likes to refer to the Angels, Ascended
Masters and Deceased Loved Ones), are here to guide, assist and protect us along our
journeys.

During her career as an Angel Therapist®, she found that deceased loved ones would take
the opportunity to “pop in” on their family and friends to say hello or pass on important
messages.  Having opened that channel to the other side, she decided to explore this further
and became a Certified Medium, taking her training from distinguished author Doreen
Virtue, Ph.D.

“Working with our Loved Ones on the Other Side provides an opportunity for healing of
grief and any unresolved issues.  I think the most important aspect of this work, though, is
when someone who doesn’t believe in the afterlife gets to experience firsthand, proof of
survivorship.  It’s nice to know we have our deceased loved ones on speed-dial making them
available whenever we are in need of their guidance and love.”
