Sherry:  Investigator - She's a natural investigator and problem solver, welcome!

I have been fascinated with ghost stories since the early 1970's when I was just a little
girl.   The very first book I owned about ghosts was "Haunted Houses" by Larry
Kettelkamp in 1976. In that book was the famous photo of the Brown Lady of
Raynham Hall and the infamous story of Borley Rectory. After that I was completely
hooked. I was always at the library consuming the books by Hans Holzer, Susy
Smith and any others on the subject. I was always collecting ghost stories and
entertaining my friends and cousins with whatever stories I could find. They started
referring to me as "Scary Sherry"...haha! In the 1980's I spent many an evening
exploring the historic Vineyard House in Coloma, CA that was often called the most
haunted house in California. I always wanted to investigate more haunted houses but
never knew anyone who actually lived in one. I finally decided to join a group that was
dedicated to investigating the paranormal and I look forward to many years of helping
people figure out what's really going on in their homes and businesses -- paranormal or
not.
I graduated from the University of California, Davis in 1989 with a bachelor's degree
in anthropology.  I've spent the last 19 years working for the Mercy hospital system as
a medical records coder.

Day Job:  Medical Records Coder
Hobbies:  Some of my other passions are researching Bigfoot/Sasquatch,
extreme weather (I want to go on a tornado chase some day), watching TV, reading,
astronomy, treasure hunting, listening to Beyond Reality, Coast to Coast AM,
The Sasquatch Triangle and other shows on the paranormal on my iPod.  I am totally
in love with Great Britain and am hoping to volunteer on an archaeological dig there in
the near future. I also have a strange passion for playing chess....someday I may actually
be good at it.
Ana Marie:  Investigator - You gotta keep one eye on this one.

Ana Marie is a native of Northern California and a first generation Spanish American.
(Ana Marie's father came to the U.S. in 1963 on contract as a sheepherder.)  She
holds both a BS and MS in Criminal Justice from CSU, Sacramento (that’s Sac-
State to native Sacramentans).  And if that isn’t impressive enough (more boring than
impressive admit it), she is the former editor for local music website
www.cabands.com.
Her interest in the paranormal began at an early age – as her Spanish relatives had a
touch of the macabre when it came to telling bedtime stories (“those Spaniards are a bit
superstitious”).  She lives in the foothills with her husband and her six furry children.

“Life is like a banquet and there are a lot of poor starving suckers out there.”
(Roslyn Russell in “Auntie Mame”)

Day Job:  legal secretary
Hobbies:  reading, writing (poetry and short stories), music, mustang enthusiast,
keeping up with Real Madrid’s standings on the internet and hanging out with family and
friends.

Bat:  Investigator in Training - With this lovely woman I'd still be fumbling with the DVR!

I am newly remarried and repatriated to the U.S. after raising two brilliant and beautiful
daughters in Canada.  Being an empty nester is taking some getting used to!  So is having
a new husband, but it's all good in California!

My interest in the paranormal is long standing.  I lived in a town on the east coast and it was
normal to have or have seen a ghost around.   We had one, so did the neighbors...and half
the houses in town.  Still, my most convincing experience came from out of the blue in
someone elses house.  I've been able to explain away most of what I've seen, and I seem to
see some weird stuff, but still, there's that one thing I can't
and so I'm driven.

The skills I bring to the team are rather raw.  While lacking in field experience, I was trained as
an Investigation and Enforcement Officer for The Ministry of the Environment in
Canada, but was never able to take a position (thanks to the politics of changing regimes
and a shift of focus from environmentalism toward the end of the last recession).  I
completed my internship with an organization that conducted home
environmental assessments, mostly for energy conservation but also referring "sick houses"
to the experts.  I'm pretty sure there are a few sick houses contributing to homeowner's
"problems".  I hope I can help ferret them out.

In addition to that, I was a registered massage therapist in Ontario.  In order to be able to
practice, I attended 2 years of full-time classes and passed a board examination, both
written and oral.  It was tougher than any of my university studies and I learned so very much
about the human body and it's responses to stress.  MT's are instructed in nearly all
aspects of anatomy and physiology, including the central nervous system and sympathetic
vs. parasympathetic response.  I am a study hound, and still expand on my medical knowledge
as often as possible.

Other skills of varying importance and value include interests in music (I'm a
singer/songwriter/guitarist of sorts), photography, cooking, wine, hiking and camping.  I
don't mind chatting it up; if you have like interests or just want to say hello, drop me a line!

Day Job:  Administrative Assistant
Hobbies:  Playing guitar, singing songs, baking cookies, running around the block
and taking care of my 5 potted plants
Kelly:  Investigator in Training

Kelly is a lifelong native from the distant land of Sacramento.  By day, a mild mannered
software developer in a major metropolitan suburb, by night an axe (guitar) wielding
maniac in a metal band...from a major metropolitan suburb. Utilizing his strange powers
to collect more guitars and video games then you could possibly imagine, Kelly fights
valiantly against the mediocrity and malaise of boredom’s oppressive grasp!

Kelly’s interest in the paranormal comes from a morbid curiosity and keenly honed
sense of enjoying being terrified.  The more he found stories of ghosts and
paranormal activity scaring him, the more he needed to know why he never wanted to
sleep. Ouija boards and games like “Bloody Marry” as a kid, aside from creating an
unhealthy fear of mirrors and board games, assured him that sleep was for suckers and
knowledge of the paranormal (ghosts specifically) was what he wanted to spend his
ever increasing waking hours researching.  Kelly has regained his ability to sleep despite
the disturbing truths he learns (queue ominous music).

Day Job:  Software Developer
Hobbies:  Playing guitar, video games, buying guitars, reading about WWII history,
finding locations for his guitars, and trying to find numbers stations on shortwave
radio.
David T:  Investigator in Training - We just picked this guy up on the U.S.S. Hornet
for stalking us.  Just kidding!  David is a great guy and fun addition to the family.

I was born and raised in Sacramento.  After 30 plus years of living in Sacramento, my wife
Shannon and I decided a change of scenery was needed and moved to Rocklin, CA.
Outside of my job in the software industry, I spend my spare time as a hard core Star
Wars fanboy, act as a domestic servant for our dog and two cats, and support the
Sacramento Kings and Seattle Seahawks as a long-suffering fan.

I have always been fascinated in both History and the Paranormal.  There is usually a
history behind a haunting and knowing that history is a key part in understanding why a
haunting is happening.  I am very excited to join API because of my long interest in the field
and having the chance to help people in dealing with these situations.

Day Job:  Systems Manager
Hobbies:  Anything Star Wars, military history, enjoying family time, watching
                        documentaries and cartoons
