An Interview with Michelle:

What interested you in the paranormal?
Since I was born I can remember knowing I had deceased relatives around me and speaking
with people others couldn't see. I have always wanted to help find scientific evidence of the
existence of life after death.

How are you treated in public when people realize that you are a paranormal
investigator?
Most people think its cool and want to know all kinds of things about what I do, and I’ve
had many people who disclose their own personal experiences with me. It's fun, although I
have had a close friend tease me, but with the evidence we find on some of our investigations
he has recently shut his mouth and hopefully opened his mind.

Have you ever had anybody react to what you do negatively?
With the exception of the last fellow I mentioned, no. It's been mostly positive interest.

What do you do when you aren't investigating?
I am working at a historic movie theatre in the Sacramento area and I am a full time student in
television production and film studies. I also work part time at a coffee shop and just got
hired on for remote truck shoots with Access Sacramento, the local public station which
also works with my school.

What investigation sticks out in your mind?
I really liked going to Boulder Creek where I lived when I was a little girl and had some of my
first memories of the paranormal. We visited the Brookdale Lodge where my parents used
to stop when I was little and I always wanted to go in, but didn't have the chance until I went
with A.P.I.

Have you had any unexplained experiences?
Too many to count, it's just been a part of life for me. Until I joined the group I hadn't
really thought about the fact that I kept pretty quiet about my beliefs in public unless the
subject was brought up, but now I am around people that don’t get freaked out or think I’m
crazy for thinking what I do about life and death and it's nice to talk freely.

What skills do you bring to API?
I like to share what gifts I have wither they be skills I have learned from school or my
personal beliefs in the paranormal, and hopefully I bring smiles and some blushing cheeks to
my fellow investigators.

What do you want to get out of your experience with API?
I love being a member of A.P.I. Dave has put continuing effort into fine tuning the team and
getting organized. I like that our group actually gets the job done and all joking aside, is
very professional and determined to do the best job possible. He lets us be ourselves and
we joke and have a great time when we work together. I don't believe I could be part of any
other team or that there is one better. I love working with all my teammates.

How does your family feel about your investigations?
My parents are fundamentalist non-denominational Christians and do not believe the same
things I do, but they do think it's a really cool thing when we show up in the local paper or
are on the radio. They are understanding and supportive. Also my siblings are very
interested in what I do and my younger brother especially has also experienced much
paranormal activity in his life.

Do you enjoy being an investigator?
I freakin' love it!!!YEAH!!!
